Super Bowl: Travis Kelce jokes about ‘losing all this money’ to bring friends and family to the game in Las Vegas… after mom Donna said she WON’T be in a VIP suite with Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce has joked about the cost of taking his family and friends to Super Bowl LVIII, admitting he’s “losing all this money” ahead of Sunday’s game in Las Vegas.

Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years on Sunday, as they aim to become the first team in nearly two decades to hold the tournament.

The Chiefs tight end will be cheered on at Allegiant Stadium by an army of friends and family, including brother Jason, mother Donna and, of course, girlfriend Taylor Swift.

However, Donna recently claimed she won’t be in one of the venue’s VIP suites this weekend as they cost ‘several million dollars’ – with Swift and other celebrities expected to pay up to $2.5 million for the luxury in Sin City.

But on the latest episode of his and Jason’s New Heights podcast, Travis still joked that he’s spending a fortune to make sure his inner circle at least has a ticket to Sunday’s game.

“I don’t really do much other than just count how much money I’m spending on this damn Super Bowl for the upcoming family and friends,” he said.

“I’m just making sure I get the finances under control and get rid of all this money.”

Unlike the times she has seen her son play at Arrowhead numerous times in the past, Donna believes she will mix it up with the fans in Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII instead of taking a seat in a VIP suite next to Swift.

During the TODAY show, Kelce’s mother said the cost of the VIP suites is too high and she has a regular ticket to the game.

You can understand that the boxes in Vegas are worth millions of dollars, so I feel like I’m not in a box, I’m in the stands,” she said.

“As far as I know, I’m in the stands with everyone because it’s an expensive Super Bowl.”

Kelce and the Chiefs will try to make history on Sunday in Vegas, with no team having won back-to-back Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in 2005.

But as they look for a first championship in nearly three decades, Travis believes the pressure is all on the 49ers this weekend.

“I feel like until you win, you just feel the pressure, the desire, the desire,” the Chiefs tight end told brother Jason on their New Heights podcast ahead of Sunday’s game.

“Don’t get me wrong, I want this one more than the first one, I think. So I feel like it just depends on how you build it in your head.

“For me, it’s not that much pressure; it’s just exciting because of the challenge ahead. I’ve been in some of these big games and there’s no other game, man, and there’s no other feeling than being on the field and playing in the Super Bowl. There’s just no man with a better feeling than going out there and finding a way to win with your guys.

“I’m more excited about the challenge than I feel the pressure of trying to go back-to-back, even though I want to be on the level of NFL players and teams that have done that.”
