Taylor Lautner and his wife Tay Lautner taste Subway’s new Sidekicks menu in Los Angeles after rooting on the Detroit Lions in their failed Super Bowl bid

Taylor Lautner and his wife Tay Lautner are getting ready for Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday with some newly available snacks from Subway.

The sandwich chain debuted a new menu of side dishes called Sidekicks, including cookies, churros and pretzels that are all a foot long.

The couple — who have been married for just over a year — teamed up with Subway to promote their tasty new offering, despite the Twilight alum’s beloved Detroit Lions losing their chance to play in the championship game.

“We’ve had to learn to share food together and that’s why we were excited to work with Subway because now they have their Sidekicks that are a foot long, Sidekicks for the sandwiches. There’s enough for everyone… there’s no arguing about this,” Lautner, 31, said Additional.

Meanwhile, Dome, 26, presented the new items and said: “We have the Cinnabon footlong churro, in the back we have the Aunt Anne’s Pretzel and their classic chocolate chip cookie in the footlong shape.”

Lautner, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passionately cheered on the Detroit Lions as the beleaguered franchise enjoyed a historic and great season.

The team hasn’t been NFC champions since 1957 and hadn’t won a playoff game since 1993 prior to this year’s NFC divisional matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

The actor attended several games and shared photos of them on his Instagram, as did his wife.

The Taylors met through Lautner’s sister Makenna, telling her brother she knew just the right girl for him in 2018.

Soon after, Lautner hosted a game night and invited his sister, who brought Tay and the rest is history.

Three years later he proposed. “11.11.2021,” he wrote on Instagram at the time, sharing photos of their loving proposal. “And just like that, all my wishes came true.”

And as for their shared names, it was never a question that Tay would take Taylor’s last name.

“We already share one name,” he told Kelly Clarkson during an appearance on her show in 2022.

“We’ll literally be the same person.”

The lovebirds tied the knot on November 11, 2022 at Epoch Estate Wines near Paso Robles, California.
