Maya Jama sets pulses racing in daring lingerie as she joins 40 iconic British Vogue cover stars for epic shoot to mark Edward Enninful’s final edition

Maya Jama looked sensational as she posed up a storm during the legendary Vogue women’s cover shoot in March.

The Love Island presenter, 29, is one of 40 icons taking part in the last issue led by Edward Enninful, which collects a selection of cover stars from his time at British Vogue.

Maya set pulses racing as she posed in a daring black lingerie set for the shoot as she showed off her incredible physique.

Perched on a stool next to Christy Turlington, the star wowed in the Dolce & Gabbana set wearing a stunning black sheer skirt with intricate lace embroidery.

Taking to Instagram, the star expressed her gratitude for taking part in the shoot as she wrote: ‘What a way to start 2024. My second Vogue cover and it’s the most iconic s**t I’ve ever been a part of..’

The Love Island presenter is one of 40 icons taking part in the latest issue led by Edward Enninful, which brings together a selection of cover stars from his time at British Vogue.

“To spend the day with the most inspiring, incredible and powerful women I’ve looked up to forever doesn’t even feel real, it was a fever dream from the moment I walked into the shoot.”

Maya stars in the shoot alongside stars like Victoria Beckham, Serena Williams, Naomi Campbell, Miley Cyrus, Oprah and Dua Lipa, to name a few.

She continued: ‘An honor would be an understatement, I could write a million words about the day but I will remember it forever and ever and I am so grateful to be part of Vogue’s history.

“Thank you @edwardenniful for all you are and all you do, you have changed the game time and time again, your impact will never be forgotten!”

The stars gathered in a Manhattan studio one day in December for a unique photo shoot with Steven Meisel.

Maya concluded, “Only you could get everyone in the room at the same time. For your last cover you went out with the biggest bang. We love you so much and I can’t believe we’ve been able to keep it all a secret until now!

Edward, 51, the publication’s first male and first Black editor, announced in June that he would be stepping down to take on a new global role at publisher Conde Nast.

He will be replaced by Londoner Chioma Nnadi as editor of British Vogue.

The Mail on Sunday reported that Edward had hoped to one day replace Anna Wintour, but the Vogue editor-in-chief is determined to stay put and ‘swat away all rivals like a fly’.

Edward will take up a ‘global consultancy role’ at Vogue, ‘with the freedom to take on wider creative projects’.

Of the issue, he said: “So here it is: my 76th and final issue of Vogue, six and a half years and 153 cover stars later, including the 40 legendary women featured on this cover. It was an extraordinary ride and an absolute honor.

“As I step into my new role as Condé Nast’s global creative and cultural advisor for Vogue, I am determined to continue championing the incredible range of voices in fashion and media and ensure we continue to embrace the energy explosion of recent years keep it going. .

‘We always say it because it always needs to be said: there is still a lot to be done.’
