A TikTok user named Linton is going viral after posting a video yesterday of what he describes as “a tsunami waterfront.”

Linton, whose TikTok account is @bagio7744, posted at least four videos from the Cayman Islands to his account on Tuesday and Wednesday.

All four videos show how heavy rains and storms have left a swathe of destruction and debris across the Cayman Islands.

So far, more than a million TikTok users have watched at least one of the four videos he posted.

The storm that devastated the Cayman Islands and was captured in all four videos began on Monday and lasted until Tuesday, causing severe flooding on the islands’ respective northern coasts.

The Cayman Islands are a British Overseas Territory consisting of three islands: Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.

It is unclear which island Linton was on when he took the videos of the powerful storm.

The video he posted, which has been viewed more than a million times, shows powerful waves engulfing a nearby street.

Linton also captured images of what appears to be a flooded parking garage with vehicles still in it.

Strong waves and severe flooding continued on Wednesday, as seen in Linton’s video posted less than ten hours ago.

The extensive damage caused by the storm mainly occurred on the Cayman Brac, the second largest island of the Cayman Islands.

Henry Scott showed some of the damage in a video on Facebook, including properties miraculously saved by sea grape trees.

Emergency response teams monitored the entire storm and residents were encouraged to visit a Red Cross shelter.

According to the Cayman News Servicethe Cayman Islands government recommended at the time that “the public should refrain from water activities on all three islands.”

The government also requested that individuals “stay well away from the coastline and ensure that ocean-going vessels remain in a safe harbor and are secured until further notice.”

TikTok users were seemingly shocked to see the effects of the flow, but one Cayman Islands resident admitted on the social media app that “some areas are untouched.”

“I live here too… it’s just that some areas are untouched,” wrote a TikTok user who said he lived in the Cayman Islands.

Some US users compared the storm to similar storms happening in Savannah, Georgia, while others said the same storm made landfall in Jamaica.

Another TikToker pointed out that “it’s not hurricane season” in the Cayman Islands.
