Sara Sampaio goes blonde! The former brunette model reveals her shocking new look as she asks: ‘Do blondes have more fun?’
Sara Sampaio stunned many of her fans when she took to her Instagram page on Wednesday to show off her brand new blonde locks.
The lifelong brunette made the big reveal in a video in which she robbed herself on camera as a snippet of Dolly Parton’s song Dumb Blonde – from her debut studio album Hello, I’m Dolly (1967) – played in the background.
“Just because I’m blonde / Don’t think I’m stupid / ‘Cause this dumb blonde ain’t crazy,” the legendary country crooner sang in the short clip, which Sara captured shortly after spending nearly 12 hours lightening her locks.
Alongside the clip, the Portuguese model asked the age-old question that many have asked over the years in her caption: “Cue in… do blondes have more fun?”
She added: ‘Ps: shout out to @jacobschwartzhair for having the patience, courage and care to take me to blonde in one session! 11am! Not for the faint of heart!’

But while her lighter locks had a lot of fans, the reviews were decidedly mixed, with many fans not being afraid to say that they preferred her as a natural brunette.
‘Nooo! Dark hair suits you so much better, not blonde,” said one of her followers.
“No, I like your brown,” another fan complained, while one user opined that “blonde makes you look older.”
Another fan of hers was on the same page: “No, it doesn’t match your face color, but you’re still beautiful.”
Some commenters found it annoying that many responses were so direct and negative.
‘Why are these comments so harsh???’ wrote one concerned person.
After seemingly hearing the screeches from the naysayers in her comments section, the Portuguese mom got creative and shared a photo of herself with her new blonde hair, along with a clip of Zooey Deschanel playing the role of Jess Day in the Fox sitcom New Girl.
‘It’s possible I’m still in shock. I go to my room and process what just happened. Thank you for your attention,” Deschanel could be heard saying while playing Jess, in what has become a popular meme.
Responding to the naysayers, Sampaio added, “Chillax everyone! It’s just for a project.’

The photos showed the runway queen during a recent visit to a luxury spa in Las Vegas, with her brunette hair still intact.
The fashion star, who is currently dating Jack Nicholson’s son Ray Nicholson, also wrote a short message in her caption saying she wanted to show off her “new little back muscles.”
But from the sounds of her response to the comment, it looks like she’ll only be blonde to finish her project and then return to her dark locks. Time will tell.
