The Spice Girls are planning to release a special edition of their multi-million selling sophomore album SpiceWorld, to mark the chart’s 25th anniversary.
The album was originally released in November 1997 and featured some of the girl group’s biggest songs, including Too Much, Spice Up Your Life and Stop.
And fans will get an extra treat to celebrate the anniversary, they can get their hands on the expanded edition with previously unreleased live tracks and an unheard of original demo recording of the Song Step To Me.
Girl Power: The Spice Girls are planning to release a special edition of their multi-million selling sophomore album SpiceWorld to mark it hit the charts 25 years ago.
The girls put together the album themselves and the record featured a plethora of favorite songs and B-sides, as well as unreleased recordings from the Virgin Records archive.
Speaking of their milestone birthday, the Spice Girls said, ‘The ‘Spiceworld’ era was such a fun time for us; we just had a number one album with Spice, we traveled all over the world and met our amazing fans, we released our second album AND we had our own movie!
‘Who would have thought that? It’s crazy to think that 25 years have passed.’
