Why Below Deck star Aesha Scott has been slammed by furious fans after sharing this beach bikini snap: ‘This is crazy’

Below Deck Down Under chef Aesha Scott has received harsh criticism from fans online after admitting she ‘hates’ the look of her thighs.

The reality TV star from New Zealand shared three photos of herself on Instagram, posing in a black bikini on a beach.

In the “honest” confession, the 31-year-old said that while she loves the photo, she doesn’t like how her thighs “look a little bigger than normal.”

However, fans hit back at the ‘ugly dialogue’, with many encouraging Aesha to ‘stop being so hard’ on herself.

“Normally I would never post this and to be honest I have deleted and then reposted it so many times,” Aesha wrote.

‘I hate that my thighs look a little bigger than normal here (Christmas holidays, treats and drinks that I don’t regret), but I love the photo.

“I’m not doing this to get compliments so I don’t feel like you need to comment…I just thought if I’m a stickler for being real and genuine then I shouldn’t post a photo that I love , because I think that a body part does not look optimally as I would like.

“It just shows the crazy things we say to ourselves in our minds, but we don’t believe those things when we apply them to other people. Time to walk the talk!’

Aesha declined to comment to Daily Mail Australia.

While her message may have been sincere, some found it “out of reach.”

“This is insane,” one person wrote.

‘You’re beautiful, slim, tan and probably have a lot of money. So leave the worrying about your body to people like me, who have kids and a belly and don’t have enough time to exercise because they’re busy cooking and cleaning and working 9 to 5. Come on now.’

“Most of us would kill for that body,” said another. “Girl, you are delulu (delusional), you are stunning.”

“Imagine how women with really big thighs/weight issues feel… and then here you are with a thigh gap pretending to be big,” someone else wrote.

“Here’s the problem…do women feel like this is a big deal?”

Another implored Aesha to remember the young crowd on social media.

“With a teenage daughter who has recently undergone treatment and is also old enough to use Instagram, I beg you not to post statements about self-loathing or body hatred,” one person wrote.

“You’re beautiful no matter what your thighs look like. It shouldn’t even be discussed because if anyone cares what your thighs look like, they’re an asshole.”

Others, however, praised the honesty.

‘Omg, don’t delete this! For your own good. Loving the skin you’re in really takes practice… no matter what body we’re in. SAVE THE POST,” someone said.

‘This is the best photo of you yet!! Do not delete!’ another wrote.

‘There is nothing more infectious than your smile, laugh and the kind way you treat people. You are a beautiful soul, and beautiful on the outside too. You are a powerhouse,” someone else added.
