Girl allegedly stabbed by a stranger outside a dance studio in Queensland – before she was rushed to hospital with horrific wounds

A woman has been charged after allegedly stabbing a stranger in the back in a random attack outside a Queensland dance studio.

According to police, the woman, 34, approached the teenage girl, 15, in the foyer of TnT Dance Studio on Water Street, Bundaberg, at around 4.30pm on Monday.

She spoke briefly to the girl, who was working as a student teacher, and then allegedly pulled a knife and cut her in the back.

The 15-year-old girl was taken to hospital with multiple injuries to her back.

The woman reportedly fled the scene but was later found in a nearby unit block.

Forensic police are searching the scene on Tuesday after what is believed to be a random attack

The 34-year-old has been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

Police have refused her bail and she is due to appear in the Bundaberg District Court on Tuesday.
