Customers furious after baffling find in the McDonald’s app: ‘This is ridiculous’
A McDonald’s customer was surprised to find two Big Mac meals priced differently on the MyMacca’s app.
A father claimed he and his daughter used the app on separate phones to order the meals.
But he soon noticed that one price was $3.75 more expensive, despite being the same.
‘Same meal, same address, two different devices! How!? Check your prices people!’ he wrote on Facebook alongside two screenshots.
“My daughter took a screenshot of what she wants me to pick up for her. I then place the order in my app before I pick it up.’
Daily Mail Australia understands a number of factors can affect the price of orders placed on the app, including the location of the restaurant, whether the order is a pick-up or delivery, and adjustments. Because McDonald’s restaurants are franchises, prices also tend to vary.

They both ordered a Big Mac meal with large fries and a large chocolate shake – although one burger excludes onions and shredded lettuce, while the other excludes pickles.
It has not been confirmed where the two customers were in Australia or whether the app had defaulted to another nearby location.
After seeking advice on Facebook, others joined the conversation and shared their assumptions.
One suspected that the price difference was due to delivery charges, while another said the MyMacca app offers customers various discounts and offers.
Others also used the MyMacca app and noticed that the price of a Big Mac meal also differed at their local McDonald’s, with one costing $13.65 while the other cost $15.10.
