She said, ‘He always had a six pack – biscuits! Especially the past two weeks.
“He takes every opportunity to take a break. There was a woman who kept making him tea. He would say to her, “Keep talking so I don’t have to start training again.”‘
She added: ‘But nothing is a challenge too difficult for me. I love teaching, I love seeing people improve.’
Tony said he was surprised by the intensity of the rehearsals and that he already had 50-hour weeks learning the skills of Latin and ballroom.

The football manager also revealed that he is now eating more than ever while burning more calories than ever on the dance floor.
Tony received some harsh commentary from the judges after his debut performance last weekend, when he and Katya waltzed on The Village People’s Go West.
Judge Anton Du Beke said: ‘When you come out to dance, we don’t know what your routine is. . . and it turns out you aren’t either.’
In 2015, Tony underwent life-saving heart surgery after feeling chest pain while exercising in Azerbaijan.
The health anxiety has given him a new outlook on life as he now feels that “every day is a bonus.”

It comes after Tony recently pondered his battle with addiction while sober for 26 years from alcohol and drugs.
The sports hero hopes to raise awareness of mental health during his stay on the show.
He told MailOnline: ‘I am 26 years old without alcohol or drugs, so I want to bring some awareness about mental health around life and what I’m doing today.
“I have a business and charities, and we use dance therapy at rehab. It’s good for the mind, so I thought I’d go for it.’
Though he’s been sober for nearly three decades, Tony also spoke candidly about a new work addiction he suffered when he was 49.

He said: ‘I had a nervous breakdown when I was 49, my new addiction was working too hard and with the stress I had a heart condition. So I decided to take it easy – after Strictly.
‘You can do anything when you’re free from addiction, that’s my message I want to pass on’, the budding dancer concluded.
Tony originally declined Strictly because of his football career, although he admitted that the show offered him a decent amount of money.
“One of the main reasons I turned down opportunities to go on Strictly Come Dancing, despite the money being offered was good, was because I was worried I wouldn’t be taken seriously as a football coach after that,” he told The Mirror.
