Travis Kelce hails 49ers rival George Kittle as the ‘best tight end in the NFL’ with Chiefs star relishing Super Bowl showdown in Las Vegas: ‘I couldn’t be more proud of him’

Travis Kelce has heaped praise on 49ers rival George Kittle, claiming the San Francisco star is the best tight end in the league.

The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers this weekend in Las Vegas.

The game pits Kittle against Kelce, considered by many to be one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history.

But ahead of Sunday’s showdown, the 34-year-old claimed Kittle is the cream of the crop.

“He’s the best tight end in the league,” Kelce said of his rival.

“He’s playing the lights out and playing the best football of his career,” the Chiefs star said

“He pulled out all the stops, played the best football of his career and really catapulted the San Fran team through the playoffs.”

The pair faced off in Super Bowl LIV, when the Chiefs defeated the 49ers 31-20 in Miami.

“I couldn’t be more proud of him and I couldn’t be more honored to face George in another Super Bowl,” Kelce continued.

“I can’t say enough about who he is as a man, who his family is. I can’t say anything bad about him.’

Both Kelce and Kittle have spent their entire careers with one team: Kelce with the Chiefs and Kittle with the 49ers.
