Miley Cyrus to perform at the Grammy Awards for the first time in FIVE YEARS… since her sizzling In My Blood duet with Shawn Mendes

Miley Cyrus will perform at this year’s Grammy Awards, the first time she has sung at the ceremony in five years.

The 31-year-old pop act last took the stage at the 2019 Grammys, sending her fans into a frenzy of joy with her duet In My Blood with Shawn Mendes.

It has now been confirmed that she will make her grand return to the awards show at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The news became public in a Variety report this Friday, just two days before the annual star-studded extravaganza is set to take place.

On stage that night, Miley will reportedly perform a rendition of Flowers, her big hit single from last year’s Endless Summer Vacation album.

An insider said Miley performed a blow-you-away good rehearsal at the Crypto.com arena on Friday afternoon, less than 72 hours before the show.

In Flowers’ lyrics, Miley assures an ex that she will be able to give herself the affection she needs after their breakup.

“I can buy myself flowers, write my name in the sand, talk to myself for hours, say things you don’t understand,” she sings in the chorus.

Miley has been nominated for six Grammy Awards this Sunday, half of which are just for Flowers – Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

Endless Summer Vacation is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Vocal Pop Album, and Miley’s duet Thousand Miles with Brandi Carlile is also in the running to take the gong for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Released in March last year, Endless Summer Vacation is Miley’s eighth studio album and first since her 2020 release with Plastic Hearts.

Miley herself was not nominated for a Grammy Award for her work on Plastic Hearts, and was not seen performing at that ceremony.

She played the awards show for the first time in 2009, when she was just 16 years old, singing the song Fifteen on stage with Taylor Swift.
