Biden and Trump go to war over GAFFES: Joe’s campaign launches new ad saying ex-president ‘babbles’ after confusing Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi

Throwing another punch in the 2024 war of blunders and stumbles, President Joe Biden’s campaign released a video on former President Donald Trump’s Truth Social network on Wednesday confusing Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi.

Trump made the gaffe last month while campaigning in New Hampshire, telling a crowd in Concord how “Haley” — not then-Speaker Pelosi — failed to protect the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 MAGA attack.

The new ad, shared via the Biden-Harris headquarters accountopened with ABC News’ Jonathan Karl discussing that moment with Haley, Trump’s remaining rival in the 2024 GOP primaries.

‘He didn’t just confuse me. He mentioned it over and over,” Haley said. ‘He is no longer what he was in 2016. He has refused. That’s a fact.’

The minute-long spot includes clips of Trump saying he “stumbled and mumbled on purpose” and bragged about his speaking style, while an X-post on Thursday mocked the ex-president for “babbling.”

‘He didn’t just confuse me. He mentioned it over and over again,” former President Donald Trump’s chief rival Nikki Haley says in a new ad released by the Biden campaign. ‘He is no longer what he was in 2016. He has refused. That’s a fact.’

‘I do speak in long, complex sentences. I have a lot of material in every sentence,” Trump said in a video shown at the scene.

It also contained some nonsensical musings from Trump.

‘We are an institution for strong capital punishment. We will set this up,” the former 77-year-old president says in one clip.

‘Do you have a voter’s card to buy a loaf of bread? Yes. You need an ID to buy a loaf of bread,” he says in another.

A clip of Biden appears at the end of the ad.

‘Did you notice? He’s a little confused these days,” the 81-year-old president said.

A news anchor then interjects: “Someone close to Trump is actually saying he’s shocked by Biden’s attempts to get under his skin.”

For months, Biden’s team has pointed to Trump’s blunders to allay voters’ concerns about the president’s age and health.

President Joe Biden is quoted in the ad saying, “Have you noticed? He's a little confused these days.”

On both Truth Social and X, the @BidenHQ account has highlighted the ex-president’s missteps.

Notable examples include Trump mistaking Sioux Falls for Sioux City, a blunder he made last fall.

At the same time, Trump has also gone after Biden for his blunders and stumbles.

At his rallies, Trump does a bit where he pretends to be Biden and can’t find the exit from the stage.

Last month in Iowa, the ex-president also mocked Biden for his childhood stutter.

‘Did you see H im? He stuttered through the whole thing,” Trump said after Biden went after him for being a danger to democracy. “He goes bah bah bah, he’s a threat to democracy. They have armed the government. He says I’m a threat to democracy.’

“He’s a threat to dd democracy,” Trump continued, pretending to stutter. “He couldn’t read the word.”
