Scarlett Johansson reveals she named her son Cosmo after throwing ‘a bunch of letters together’

Scarlett Johansson recently revealed that she named her one-year-old son Cosmo after “putting a bunch of letters together.”

The talented actress, 37, shared the backstory and reaction to the name during a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The beauty shares her son with husband, Colin Jost, 40, and shares daughter, eight-year-old Rose, with her previous husband, Romain Dauraic.

As the Black Widow star continued to explain her son’s name, Scarlett stated that both she and her husband had “thrown together a lot of letters. I just thought it was charming and our friends liked it.’

However, her mother-in-law was not fond of the name at first. “Colin’s mother had a little more trouble with it.”

“She suggested other versions of it for a while. I was like, ‘He’s already here. He’s gone. As if those days are over,” Scarlett added lightly.

The Avengers alum said her daughter, Rose, was a huge fan of the name Cosmo because, like herself, she was based on a flower.
