Burnley are in talks to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Thomas Meunier for the rest of the season.

The Clarets are keen to bring in defensive reinforcements during the window and have turned their attention to the former PSG full-back.

The 32-year-old has fallen out of favor at Signal Iduna Park and has made just seven appearances in the Bundesliga this season.

Vincent Kompany’s side are looking to add depth to their flanks as they prepare to hold talks with Leeds over the future of Conor Roberts.

The Wales international is open to a move ahead of the European Championship qualifying play-offs.

Leeds have explored a number of options at home and abroad after right-back Luke Ayling was loaned to Middlesbrough, while Djed Spence’s season-long loan from Tottenham was terminated.

Roberts, 28, has made 88 appearances for the Clarets since joining from Swansea in 2021.

However, he has struggled with playing time this season. He started just eight of Burnley’s 22 Premier League matches, with Vitinho often preferred by Vincent Kompany.
