Former Chelsea captain John Terry is pictured sitting at Anfield watching the Blues take on Liverpool in their Premier League match.

The retired England international is a well-known Chelsea fan and has been seen supporting the club on more than one occasion since hanging up his boots.

Terry, who made 721 appearances for Chelsea, posed for photos with like-minded Chelsea fans before heading to the stands to watch the Blues in action.

Terry seemed somewhat unimpressed by what he saw from Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the first half as Chelsea trailed 2-0 to Liverpool.

This isn’t the first time Terry has been spotted in the stands. He attended Chelsea’s match against Liverpool on January 21, 2023.

He was mobbed by supporters on Merseyside as he watched his former side draw with Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Last time, the fans sang: ‘John Terry has won the double’ as the 42-year-old struggled to resist taking part before starting to jump with the supporters in jubilation.”

He posted photos, including an away-match selfie, on his Instagram and shared a pint with supporters at a ground where he often appeared as a player.

The former Chelsea captain wrote the following caption alongside his post: ‘I loved being at the away game with our supporters today.

‘As a player you get on the bus and go straight to the dressing room, you don’t see or feel what the fans feel.

‘When I retired I always wanted to be at the away game with our supporters and I absolutely loved that today.

Unfortunately for him, he was unable to lead his former team to victory, with the match ending 0–0 despite several chances for the Blues.

Carney Chukwuemeka and Kai Havertz were among those who came close to Chelsea, with Havertz seeing an early goal disallowed for offside.

Mykhailo Mudryk came off the bench to make his debut and impressed in attack, leaving Graham Potter with future selection headaches.
