Reba McEntire set to star in new untitled sitcom… 11 years after last lead role on a series
Reba McEntire will star in an untitled sitcom for NBC Universal, and will also produce the project.
The 68-year-old country singer plays a character who inherits her father’s restaurant, and later finds out that her business partner is her half-sister that she knew nothing about.
Filming for the multi-camera sitcom has not yet begun and only the pilot has been ordered.

Reba will executive produce the project with Kevin Abbott, Mindy Schultheis and Michael Hanel – all former executive producers of her previous show Reba.
Julie Abbott will also serve as executive producer.
Reba recently starred in Big Sky, a crime drama created by David E. Kelley, featuring investigators living in Montana.
Reba played Sunny Barnes in season three for 13 episodes.
Before that, Reba June starred in six episodes of Young Sheldon.
She is currently a judge on The Voice, alongside Chance the Rapper, Dan + Shay and John Legend.
