Twist in hunt for fugitive Porsche driver Richard Pusey who filmed four dying cops as he makes bizarre ‘appearance’ in court – but still can’t be found

The infamous Porsche driver who filmed four officers dying on the side of the road is still on the run from police but has attended a virtual court hearing.
Richard Pusey, 45, who uses their pronouns, has been at large since November after two arrest warrants were issued for breaching court orders.
He did, however, video chat into a Victoria Supreme Court hearing on Wednesday morning as he appeals a guilty verdict dating from late 2022.
Pusey was found guilty of using a carriage service to cause offense and sentenced to 10 months in prison for shipping graphic photos of dying police officers to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority after his insurance company refused to cover his 2016 Porsche 911 in the aftermath of the 2020 truck crash on the Eastern Freeway.
When the court asked him to turn on his camera so they could see him on Wednesday, Pusey refused to do so.

Pusey subsequently apologized to the court for improperly filing paperwork related to his appeal.
Judicial Registrar Martin Keith informed Pusey that he had sent documents to the County Court instead of the Magistrates’ Court as he should have done.
‘Ah, is that the wrong one, sir? I did request a hearing to make sure everything is correct so we don’t waste time here today,” Pusey said. according to the Herald Sun.
‘But what would I know? I’m just a stupid dumbass.
‘I apologize for being born. Now can I go find some medicine and a glass barbecue and get my head straight?’
Pusey added that he could amend the paperwork in court within two weeks.
In April 2020, the former mortgage broker was stopped by police for speeding on Melbourne’s Eastern Freeway.
Moments later, a truck driven by one Mohinder Singh, who was high on drugs, crashed into his Porsche, killing Senior Constables Lynette Taylor and Kevin King and Constables Glen Humphris and Josh Prestney.
Pusey, who was urinating at the edge of the road at the time, survived.
When Pusey returned to his car, he filmed the officers as they lay dead and dying in the road before fleeing the scene.
He was sentenced to ten months in prison, with the president calling him ‘probably the most hated man in Australia’.

Victorian Police have urged the public to come forward with information about Pusey’s whereabouts.
Pusey is white, about 190cm tall, has short brown hair and is believed to change their appearance.
In early November, police released two images showing examples of Pusey’s various appearances.
In one image, Pusey strolls through a train station with a short, bowl-cut of graying dark hair while wearing sunglasses.
The other shows shoulder-length dark hair brushed back.
Police believe Pusey uses a combination of public transportation and driving to get around the state.
Pusey’s regularly uploads to social media but has not posted since October 17.
