Brilliant clip surfaces of confident San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan telling general manager John Lynch ‘see you on stage’ BEFORE his team won NFC Championship game

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was so confident his team would win the NFC Championship that he told general manager John Lynch before the game that he would “see him on stage” for the post-game celebrations.

San Francisco then overcame a 17-point deficit in the second half of the game to defeat the Detroit Lions and set up a Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Shanahan’s conversation with Lynch was picked up on “Inside the NFL” microphones and began with the GM commenting that the game would be “fun.”

In response, the coach said, “Oh yeah,” before adding, “See you on stage, man.”

Lynch then laughs out loud and says, “I like it, I like it.”

Despite Shanahan’s confidence, he ended up on the podium after the game looked bleak for the 49ers during their first two quarters of football against the Lions.

San Francisco started the comeback by scoring a 43-yard field goal before wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk scored a touchdown, followed by another score from McCaffrey that tied the game.

Entering the fourth quarter, San Francisco scored another field goal to take a three-point lead before backup running back Elijah Mitchell scored from three yards out to put the 49ers ahead 34–24.

Detroit attempted a miraculous comeback and got a touchdown on a pass to Williams, but they were unable to recover the onside kick that followed to give themselves a chance.
