Exciting new documentary takes viewers behind-the-scenes of Disney+ epic hit fantasy series Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is one of the biggest shows on Disney+.

And now a new 50-minute documentary takes viewers behind the scenes of the hit fantasy.

Now available to stream on Disney+, A Hero’s Journey: The Making of Percy Jackson and the Olympians gives fans insight into the show’s young stars.

Starring Walker Scobell, 14, as the title character, the original eight-part series revolves around the hero’s discovery that stories about the Greek gods he knows from storybooks are real.

Percy is tested as a demigod alongside his friends Annabeth, played by 14-year-old Leah Sava Jeffries, and Grover, played by 17-year-old Aryan Simhadri.

A new trailer for the ‘making of’ reveals how the school-age actors bonded while filming the series.

Also seen in the teaser are scenes of the young actors training with swords for the show’s many action scenes.

Elsewhere, we see the actors shooting scenes in a giant artificial ‘lake’ and performing stunts.
