Coronation Street sign up huge Peaky Blinders star as part of killer Harvey Gaskell’s dark storyline to free himself from jail
A Peaky Blinders star will take to the cobbles.
Actor Ian Peck, who played gangster Curly in the BBC period drama set in Birmingham, will join the cast of Coronation Street and will hit screens next month.
Ian plays a terminally ill man named John Perry, who will confess to the murder of Natasha Blakeman as part of real killer Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) elaborate plan to free himself from prison.
John agrees to help Harvey and confess to the murder, because he owes him a favor.
Ian will star in a number of episodes, in which Harvey and Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) will devise the plan to make John the fall guy so he can be released, reports The sun.

Ian’s agency, Angel and Francis, says on their page that the actor is currently away filming upcoming scenes for the ITV soap.

Ian starred in 27 episodes as stableman Curly who works for gangster Thomas Shelby in Peaky Blinders.
Other acting references include Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as Death Eater, His Dark Materials and Lady Chatterley’s Lover.
Meanwhile, Will, who is best known for his role in Two Pints of Lager, took on the menacing drug lord from 2021 to 2022 before returning earlier this year.
Producer Iain Macleod confirmed that Damon Hay’s return will be driven by a thirst for revenge against Adam.
The soap boss also revealed that the gangster has been pining for Sarah for months, which could spell trouble for Adam.
Speaking about joining the Weatherfield cast at the time, Will said: ‘I’m honored to have been asked to join Coronation Street, it’s such an iconic show and has been a huge part of my family life.
