Inside Man Utd star Marcus Rashford’s 12-hour tequila bender: Downing shots and cocktails, feasting on sea bass, partying in nightclub, dropping wads of cash on the floor and passing out fully-clothed at 3am
Footballer Marcus Rashford has found himself in trouble after reportedly drinking alcohol for 12 hours in Belfast before calling in sick at Manchester United.
The £325,000-a-week striker is said to have downed shots and cocktails, ordered sea bass and bruschetta, partied in a nightclub and dropped cash on the floor.
Rashford, who has become a role model for his charity work, especially in relation to food poverty, is then said to have passed out fully clothed at 3am.
The behavior during his overnight trip to Northern Ireland saw him dropped from the Manchester United squad and the club said he had ‘taken responsibility’.

Wednesday January 24
9:55 am: Marcus Rashford arrives for training with his Manchester United team at the Trafford Training Centre, known as Carrington, as preparations continue for the team’s FA Cup match against Newport County on Sunday.
4:21 p.m: After training, Rashford leaves Manchester to fly to Belfast by private jet.
5:17 p.m: After arriving in Belfast, Rashford will check into the five-star Fitzwilliam Hotel, where he will stay in a luxury £1,500-a-night residence suite.
Evening: Rashford and his entourage visit the Dirty Onion pub and Lavery’s bar for dinner and drinks.
Thursday January 25

14.00 hours: He goes to an unnamed Italian restaurant and is joined by two men and two women and orders sea bass.
He meets waitress Sarah Adair, who he invites to join him and his friends on what turns out to be a ‘weird’ night out.
Rashford asks Sarah if she knows of any nightclubs that are open until 3am.
4:30 PM: In the afternoon the group leaves the restaurant.
9:40 PM: Rashford heads to Italian restaurant Villa Italia, where he orders bruschetta, Patron tequila and limoncello.
The Manchester United striker booked the top floor and brought his own Bluetooth speaker so he could listen to his favorite rap music.
Adair is taken in a taxi to the restaurant where she meets the footballer.

Friday January 26
12.30 pm: Rashford goes to Thompson’s Garage nightclub and is pictured by other partygoers. He then heads to a private area called The Attic for more drinks.
01.15 – 02.00: A source says Rashford will leave at around 1.15pm, although Adair believes it was closer to 2pm. His security takes him back to Fitzwilliam Hotel.
2:50 amIt is claimed that Rashford is so drunk that he drops wads of cash in front of Sarah and then falls back into a wall. Adair has to ‘pick him up’ and put him on the bed. He passes out fully clothed in his room on top of the bed.
Adair said: “He was so drunk at the time.
“Then he falls back against the wall and I have to scoop him up a bit and put him on the bed.” He was fully dressed and I think he just fainted. He didn’t even get under the covers.’
5 hours: The footballer and his companions leave the hotel in the early hours and head to Belfast Airport.
7:00 am: He boards a private jet at Belfast airport bound for Manchester.
8am: The 27-year-old arrives in Manchester and calls in sick because he is too ill to train.

Sunday January 28
3:30 PM: The striker is out for Manchester United’s match against Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag said before the match that the striker had ‘called in sick’ for training on Friday morning.
When asked if Rashford’s night out in Belfast was responsible for his absence from the team, he said: ‘Let’s just say it’s an internal matter. I’ll handle it.’
Monday January 29
8.45 am: Rashford arrives in Carrington with his brother Dwaine Maynard, who also acts as his agent, for talks with Ten Hag and football director John Murtough.
The striker then trains as usual with his teammates, who are angry about his lack of discipline.
9 o’clock in the evening: Manchester United issued a statement saying the footballer had ‘taken responsibility for his actions’.
It added: ‘This has been dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, which has now been closed.’
