The show was a huge hit, being viewed more than 52 million times on BBC iPlayer across its three series and a one-off special, which aired in October 2018.
Daisy and Charlie sold the rights to the program to the US, with the American remake called Welcome To Flatch.
The actress previously admitted she earned £100 a month as a cleaner and couldn’t afford McDonald’s before the breakout role.
Speaking about Lorraine, she said: ‘It was such a bleak time. I just left drama school, got nothing, had to move back in with my parents and clean at night.
‘I think I was getting about £100 a month and while we were cleaning we came up with these characters and said, ‘We’ve got to write something.’ Because humor was the only thing that got us through such a depressing time.”
She continued, “A lot of it based on experiences we had. At the end of the first series they talk about how they couldn’t afford McDonald’s and had to watch their friends eat one, and that was our life.
‘We had nothing and even to try and get auditions, £9 for a National Express entry was such a big chunk of our weekly budget.’
