Beauty guru reveals genius concealer hack for achieving a FLAWLESS complexion by using LESS makeup

A makeup expert has revealed her hack for achieving a flawless complexion with concealer – and it all comes down to using less product.

The tip was shared on TikTok this week by beauty and makeup guru Kelly Strack, a New York and New Jersey-based creator who has more than 644,000 followers on the platform.

Strack often uses social media, including YouTube, to share her makeup tips, tricks, product reviews and tutorials.

In her newest clip, the expert explained her simple hack and how to achieve a ‘bright and awake’ look by using less product.

“If you’re still applying your concealer this way, let me help you,” Strack explained, as she applied the product in a large triangular shape under the eyes, which is a common technique.

However, this is not how you should apply your concealer, according to the expert himself, because it can simply be a waste of product for the same look.

“I love the bright and awake look this gives my under eyes, but you can literally get the exact same result with a lot less product, let me show you,” she explained.

“You want to apply it to the inside corner, with the outside corner going up, that helps lift the eye, and then I put a little bit in the middle, whatever is left on the doe foot.”

As Strack explained what to do, she demonstrated the simple technique for herself.

“This gives you exactly the same result, but uses a lot less product,” she explained, as she blended out the concealer with a Beautyblender sponge.

After she finished applying the product, Strack compared the two different techniques to her viewers and showed them what they looked like once.

On her right side she had applied the concealer by painting a triangle, and on the left side she had tried the technique that used less product.

Strack explained that applying your concealer in a triangle shape (pictured) isn't always effective because you need a lot of product.

Instead, Strack showed another method (pictured) that uses less product because she only applied it to a few areas under the eyes

At the end, Strack compared the differences between the two techniques and explained that they ended up looking the same ā€” only hers used less product.

‘For example, can you see a difference between the two sides?’ she asked.

“They look the same,” Strack said.

However, in the comments section of her video, some still lamented that they experience issues with creasing when using concealer in general, no matter what technique they try.

ā€œGirl, no matter what I do, it ALWAYS wrinkles! Staff!!!’ wrote one person.

Another agreed: ‘Every time I use a sponge or brush it looks cakey and dry.’

‘Help with folding problems!’ someone else typed.

But of course Strack has a solution for that annoying problem.

Last year, the content creator detailed her genius hack to keep your foundation from sticking to your face with a technique that takes just 10 seconds.

To start, she applied foundation to her face and used her fingers to get all the product onto her skin.

Strack simply dampens a makeup sponge after applying foundation and sprays a setting spray around the beauty tool.

She then applied it to her face and explained that this technique was the simple key to avoiding that cakey look.

“This is what I do to get a smooth, flawless base that really lasts,” Strack explained during the video.
