Democratic Senator Joe Manchin blasted the Biden administration for being pulled to the far left amid speculation he would launch his own presidential bid for the White House.

In an interview with CNNManchin said he worries about a second Biden term with a White House staff he says is dominated by a group of “far-left liberals.”

Despite criticizing the Biden administration, the West Virginia lawmaker called President Biden a “good, decent man” and warned that a Trump return to the White House would be “very concerning for every human being.”

West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, interviewed by CNN, said he has ‘no timeline’ for making a decision on a presidential bid

Manchin, whose Senate term ends in 2024, revealed in November that he will not seek re-election in West Virginia.

The 76-year-old said in his announcement that most Americans are “just tired” of Washington, and that he would try to find a “middle ground.”

The outgoing West Virginia lawmaker has launched his own tour to hear from Americans across the country.

Manchin has said there is no timeline for making a decision amid speculation he will launch his own bid for the White House.

He argued that the United States does not operate from extremes and that he has been widely touted as a potential presidential candidate for the moderate third party No Labels.

If he runs, CNN reported that Manchin would seek to fill the spots on state ballots secured by the group.

Critics have said joining a third party could be a spoiler and help Trump win a second term.

Manchin has argued that voters have never been more “dissatisfied” with the likely candidates than they are now. But according to CNN, Manchin is concerned about polls that make him doubt whether Biden will get a second term.

A series of recent polls in January show Trump winning in a head-to-head matchup against President Biden.

Manchin has criticized the former president and suggested democracy is at stake if Trump returns to the White House.

He told CNN that the prospect “should be very concerning to every human being and every person who fundamentally loves the country that we have, and the life that we have, and who is trying to have a future for our children and future generations.’
