CCTV footage shows workers struggling with a woman who was pushed out of the store with a shopping cart.
With one hand on his chest where he was stabbed, the manager used his free hand to grab the trolley as he kicked at the woman to force her away.
It then shows a man rushing towards the manager before waving an object at him, forcing the manager to grab a chair to defend himself.
The female colleague, who was still struggling to gain control of the cart, was then punched in the face by a woman as a bystander and another worker came to her aid.
After the man and woman were chased away from the scene, the manager lifted his shirt, revealing a stab wound to his abdomen.

When they faced Blacktown Local Court on Monday, both the man and woman claimed their actions were in self-defence.
Only the expectant mother was granted bail, while the man was taken into custody.
The knife seized at the scene has been sent for forensic examination.
