It didn’t take long for the Las Vegas Sphere to promote the teams that will be bringing their rosters, coaches and fans to Sin City for Super Bowl LVIII over the next two weeks.

Less than two hours after the 49ers’ victory over the Detroit Lions was confirmed, the Sphere popped out on San Francisco’s exterior logo, as well as the emblem of its Super Bowl opponents, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Las Vegas will host the NFL’s biggest game for the first time from Allegiant Stadium on February 11. The Super Bowl has never been held outside the metropolitan area where one of the league’s teams is based.

The Raiders, who moved from Oakland to Las Vegas ahead of the 2020 season, opened the holiday-oriented city for perhaps the biggest day on the American sports calendar.

The Chiefs defeated the Ravens 17-10 in the AFC Championship, while the 49ers ousted the Lions 34-31 with a comeback victory on Sunday.

San Francisco and Kansas City will meet in the Super Bowl for the second time this decade, with the Chiefs winning Super Bowl LIV in 2020.

Las Vegas is already known for its glitz and glamour, but that could be taken to an unprecedented level in two weeks with the arrival of the Super Bowl, with the main storylines being the relationship between Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

The Sphere opened to the public last September as an entertainment venue on the Las Vegas Strip, three miles from Allegiant Stadium. It is known for the LED screen that wraps around the outside of the venue and also plays projections on the inside.

The Sphere is located just off the Strip, but easily visible from Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin Drives. The Sphere can be illuminated on both sides with any design to accommodate any event at the venue or in Las Vegas.

Rock band U2 hosted the first concert at the venue and it was a visible part of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Las Vegas.

The Chiefs want to win their second straight Super Bowl against Sin City. There hasn’t been a repeat Super Bowl champion in 20 years, with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots being the last team to do so in 2003-04.
