Sean Dyche insists Everton DON’T need a fire sale this transfer window

Sean Dyche has warned potential Premier League vultures that Everton are in no need of a sell-out in the final few days of the transfer window.
Amadou Onana, Jarrad Branthwaite and Abdoulaye Doucoure have been linked with moves away from Goodison Park, but Dyche insists the club’s financial situation has stabilized since they were hit with a 10-point deduction and faced further charges relating to accounts until 2023.
Everton sold Anthony Gordon to Newcastle for £45 million at the end of January last year and six players, including Alex Iwobi, left in the summer to generate even more income.
“I think the club can at least keep its finances under control at the moment,” Dyche said.

‘You want to keep your best players and I think the club is aware of that. We have thinned the squad to a point where injuries do have an impact.
“There’s only so far the cutting can go until you go.” Okay, we still need a group that’s competitive.
‘Some of the work from the last window is now paying us back because it is clearly in better condition.
“I certainly haven’t been told that we have to do anything other than continue with what we are doing.”
Everton are appealing against the points deduction awarded for exceeding the allowable losses between 2019 and 2022 and the FA Cup fourth round draw against Luton is a welcome distraction from a relegation battle for both clubs.

Ironically, Luton winger Andros Townsend is one of the players Everton had to sacrifice last summer when his contract expired.
Dyche will celebrate his first anniversary at Goodison on Tuesday and admits: ‘It’s been interesting. Challenging. There has certainly been a heavy workload, both outside and on the field.’
He will be without injured trio Abdoulaye Doucoure, Seamus Coleman and Andre Gomes today, while Ashley Young may be held out for the important midweek Premier League match against Fulham.
