Three ‘bodybuilders’ praised for coming to the rescue of a disabled bus passenger after a ‘selfish’ driver parked right in front of the stop

A group of bodybuilders have been hailed as ‘absolute legends’ after lifting a disabled bus passenger from a bus in an electronic wheelchair.

Good Samaritans took action after realizing an illegally parked Jeep was blocking a bus stop near Parsley Bay in Sydney’s eastern suburbs on Friday.

The bus driver could no longer drive to the stop, so that the passenger in the wheelchair could get off safely on the sidewalk.

Three men in a nearby car quickly lent a hand, working together to lift the wheelchair out of the van and onto the nearby sidewalk.

A witness applauded the group on a local Facebook page.

“To the three bodybuilders who saw what happened and got out of their car to lift the electric wheelchair and the person out of the bus, you are absolute legends,” their post read.

“You definitely showed the best of people.”

Others chimed in to express their admiration for the men.

“Too often we forget those who lend a hand and do good deeds, so thanks for sharing,” one person wrote.

“I love your description of these extraordinary acts of kindness! I hope these wonderful people read what you wrote,” said another.

The jeep that had prevented the bus from reaching the stop was booked, as were other cars, the poster said.

It is illegal to park within 20 meters in front of and 10 meters behind a bus stop in NSW unless a sign indicates permission.

This act carries a fine of $275.

Others agreed that selfish drivers too often ignored parking rules.

“Unfortunately, there are entitled people who don’t care about parking,” one person commented.

‘Glad they got a fine. But they are great people who helped, bless them.”

It wasn’t the only act of kindness seen at the scene Friday.

A man in a nearby Lamborghini “offered up a young boy and had him take his picture in the driver’s seat.”

‘You are a legend. That young boy will remember your kindness for years to come,” the Facebook user wrote.
