Love Island’s Amy Hart reveals pregnancy was ‘liberating’ because she’s ‘counted calories since she was 10’ and wants to conceive again this year after ‘shredding for her wedding’

Amy Hart has revealed she found pregnancy ‘liberating’ as it was the first time she’d had a break from calorie counting since she was just 10 years old.

The Love Island star, 31, loved ‘eating for two’ while carrying her now nine-month-old son Stanley, but is now on a mission to lose weight for her four-day wedding in September.

She is preparing to marry fiancé Sam Ranson and in an exclusive chat with MailOnline, she revealed they are also looking to welcome a child in 2024.

Amy, who works with Femme Health, said she wants to slim down for her wedding after going from a size 8 to a size 16 after being pregnant on Love Island.

Speaking to MailOnline about her pregnancy, Amy said: ‘I loved it. I’ve been counting calories since I was about ten years old.’

She continued, “So being able to eat whatever I want, whenever I want for nine months has been really liberating.

‘I’ve always been very conscious of my belly, so during pregnancy I wore tight dresses. I literally wore spandex dresses from Oh Polly for nine months, so yeah, I just had a great time.”

While Amy may have felt liberated during her pregnancy, the influencer said she now plans to lose weight for her musical-themed wedding.

Before the big day, the happy couple will get married in Spain and have a huge bonanza as she plans to have her first dance to a song featured in a musical.

She has already picked out her dress and is currently organizing the big day with her wedding planner.

But besides the crazy planning that goes into a wedding, Amy has revealed that she wants to look her best on this special day and is therefore on a mission to slim down.

She said: ‘I’m obviously torn about the wedding, but also about Stanley. I’m trying to lose weight and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with saying that. I think there’s a lot of pressure to say, ‘Oh, I’m trying not to go.’ I just want to be healthy.”

‘I want to look my best on my wedding day and that’s different for each person and I know how good I’ll feel but right now that’s not it.

“And I’m only here because of the results of eating what I wanted for the past year. And I did that. So I have to get out.”

Amy continued, “There’s nothing wrong with a size 16. Like I could eat fast food every day of my life, but I would I have to be healthy for my baby. I want to be there for him as long as I can.

‘It was also very easy to get from a 10 to a 16. So I can imagine that it is even easier to go from a 16 to an 18 and from an 18 to a 20. So I have to do something about it before it becomes so unhealthy that I am not there for my son.’

But it’s not just Stanley she’s hoping to be healthy for, as she explores her fertility options with Femme Health in hopes of having another child in 2024.

Amy has a low egg count and will therefore have to think heavily about IVF and other fertility options in the future.

Stanley was born without clinical assistance, but since Amy and Sam want four children together, they choose to keep their options open.

The blonde beauty shot to fame on season five of Love Island in 2019 and quickly fell for Curtis Pritchard, but she quit the show when he admitted his head was turned in Casa Amor.

Since then, the Femme Health brand ambassador has had better luck in love, but she revealed that if she were still single and invited to Love Island All Stars, she believes she would be best paired with Chris Taylor.

Now she finally got her happy ending with Sam and the couple will work with Femme Health throughout 2024 to ease the pregnancy.

Speaking about the brand, Amy said: “I think femme health is such an amazing platform.

‘There is so much conflicting information online, and so much to sift through. Having one place to shop before visiting a clinic, with lots of useful stuff like blogs, product spots and experts is absolutely great.

‘I wish femme had been there when I first started looking at my fertility’
