Jason Momoa reveals he ‘predicted’ both Hawaii volcano eruptions just before they happened
Jason Momoa is back home in his native Hawaii filming his new TV series Chief of War, and reveals on Jimmy Kimmel Live that he predicted the recent volcanic eruptions.
The 44-year-old Honolulu resident appeared on the ABC talk show Tuesday, with Kimmel admitting that the last time he went to Hawaii, he met “like 13 people who told me they were your cousin,” as Momoa responded, ” They probably Are.’
When asked if he was in Hawaii when the recent volcanic eruptions occurred, he told Kimmel that he “had a feeling” that both Mauna Loa and Kilauea were going to erupt.
‘Yes. Mauna Loa and Kilauea exploded, I think for the first time in recorded history, two volcanoes. And it happened a day later,β Momoa admitted.
‘I actually directed the finale. We were on the lava fields. And I had said at the beginning of shooting, “The volcanoes are going to go off if we do this.” Everyone didn’t believe me. I’m like, ‘It’s going off,'” Momoa admitted.

βSure enough, that was 11 a.m., and at 4 a.m. we got the call that Mauna Loa had left,β Momoa admitted.
Kimmel also asked if he enjoyed shooting in his home country, adding, “sometimes shooting where you grew up isn’t great.”
‘When I was younger, I loved leaving. And now all I want to do is be back home,β Momoa admitted.
He added, “Yes, I stretched out and I’m ready to come back home and be home.”
Momoa was on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his new Max docu-series On the Roam, in which he travels across the country on his motorcycle to interact with a wide variety of different people, which debuted on January 18.
When Momoa was asked about the first time he got on a motorcycle, βI must have been about eight years old or something. 8 or 9.’
‘It was… a friend of my mother’s, we were at their house. It was one of the older gentlemen. And I jumped on the back, and that was the first time. βI thought, ‘I want one, Mom,’β he joked.
He said he felt “100%” about it, adding, “I’m riding with my best friend Brian,” the Volcanoes are going out tonight.
