Super Bowl winner Shaun O’Hara says he’d pick Josh Allen over Patrick Mahomes ‘every single time’, despite Chiefs star coming out on top in the NFL playoffs last week

Super Bowl-winning center Shaun O’Hara insists he would rather have Josh Allen at quarterback than Patrick Mahomes “every time.”

O’Hara’s comments came despite Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Buffalo Bills 27-24 in the playoffs on Sunday night.

It was the third straight time that Mahomes and the Chiefs had eliminated the Bills from the postseason.

O’Hara began his argument by saying fans were robbed of seeing more Allen after Bills kicker Tyler Bass missed a field goal that likely would have sent the game to overtime.

“Regardless of the outcome, I’ll take Josh Allen every time,” O’Hara said before being asked why he would take Allen over Mahomes.

O’Hara argued that Mahomes is surrounded by better teammates than Allen in KC

“I think Mahomes has the better team, that’s why.

“But pure quarterback play is better… You can’t argue that the Chiefs don’t have a better defense right now, a better tight end, a better running back, a better offensive line.

“So this is no disrespect to Mahomes, it’s 1A and 1B.

“Like I said, you can change them from week to week, but the Chiefs have the better team. Mahomes has the better team. Josh Allen, he’s still looking for help.”

O’Hara then talked about the 70-yard bomb that Allen passed to receiver Stefon Diggs, who couldn’t pull in the pass.

In terms of this year’s regular season, Allen finished the year with 385-579, 4,306 yards, 29 touchdowns and 18 interceptions. He also ran the ball 111 times for 524 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Mahomes, on the other hand, finished the year 401-597, 4,183 yards, 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He ran the ball 75 times for 389 yards.
