Everything we know about Reacher season 3 so far
Jack Reacher has saved the day on the small screen for the second time. But with the end of Prime Videos Reacher Season 2 is the time to look ahead to the adventures that Alan Ritchson’s enormous and brilliant special investigator will have next.
While we don’t know much about what lies ahead for Jack Reacher, we do know that there are more adventures in store for one of Prime’s most successful shows. So here’s everything we know so far Reacher season 3.
Is Reacher season 3 coming?
It definitely happens. The announcement for the new season actually came before the second season even started Reacher remains a big hit for Prime Video. In addition to the extension, Jack Reacher himself, Alan Ritchson, has also recently signed a contract posted a photo on Instagram with his face covered in mud and the caption “Welp, we’re back.” That certainly seems to indicate that filming is taking place Reacher season 3 is already underway.
When is Reacher season 3 coming out?
The gap between ReacherThe first and second seasons of the series lasted almost two years, so it’s possible that things could be similar for seasons 2 and 3, especially since the writers’ strike may have delayed the season’s new scripts. However, since we know Ritchson is already on set filming, it seems safe to hope for an early 2025 release for the new season.
What is Reacher season 3 about?
There’s really no good way to know that. On the one hand, it will almost certainly be based on one of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher books. Then again, there are 21 that the show hasn’t adapted yet, so it’s a bit nonsense.
However, Ritchson has said this in interviews that season 3 will be based on one of his favorite Reacher books – one that’s on “every top 10 list” of the series – and will see Reacher in a “whole new world.” Might mean that Tripwireset in Florida, or 61 hours, set in snowy South Dakota? The books that were adapted into Tom Cruise films – A shot And Never go back – are also beloved, but it seems unlikely that they will return to that source so soon after the films. We’ll have to wait and see.
Will anyone from season 2 return?
It’s hard to say. In the Reacher books he travels from place to place, meeting new people and new problems. That was reflected in the show’s first two seasons, which featured a few returning characters, but most importantly a brand new cast for season 2.
Along with Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher, only Maria Sten’s Frances Neagley and Malcolm Goodwin’s Oscar Finlay had real roles in both seasons, with the latter only appearing for a cameo in Season 2. Neagley seems most likely to return outside of Reacher. itself, but it’s anyone’s guess at this point until we find out which book showrunner Nick Santora and his team will adapt next. But with Ritchson’s comments about a “whole new world” that seems to indicate a new cast.
What should I watch while I wait for the new season of Reacher?
a ReacherIt’s not easy to fill a small hole in your heart, but we think there are a few good options. If season-long TV mysteries are your thing, you can always check out Apple TVs Slow horsesan excellent British spy series with impressive action, wry comedy and a great Gary Oldman performance that ties it all together.
On the other hand, if you’re really looking for the satisfaction of a giant man beating people up, why not try Ma Dong-seok’s Crime City film series? It started in 2017 with The banditsand continued to perform very well at the Korean box office with sequels The Roundup And The Roundup: No Way Out. Each entry is better than the last and has the kind of “righteous man with fists the size of sledgehammers” action you’re looking for. There’s another one coming this year – The Roundup: Punishment – so it’s a good time to catch up.
