Your local Apple Store may close early thanks to the launch of Vision Pro
As the launch of Apple Vision Pro approaches on February 2, 2024, it appears that Apple is adjusting its physical store hours to accommodate the arrival of the new headset.
The change currently only affects two days and only affects some stores, but if you’re planning to head to your local Apple Store in the coming weeks, we recommend checking the official Apple website first to check see if the opening hours apply. temporarily changed.
As things stand now, all Apple Stores will close on January 21 at 6:00 PM local time. Some locations are usually open until 7pm on Sundays, so you have one less hour to shop there. Apple Stores, which normally close at 6 p.m. on Sundays, don’t seem to be affected by this.
The early cut-off time would give Apple Store employees time to be trained on the new Vision Pro hardware before it goes on sale to the public (via MacRumors).
Stores will open from 8am on February 2 so people can register for in-store Vision Pro demos. That’s two hours earlier than Apple Stores usually open. Demos are allocated on a first-come, first-come basis, so if you want to get one, make sure you arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Apple has said it will hold Vision Pro demonstrations from February 2 to 4, although it is currently unclear whether stores will open earlier on the other two dates.
If you don’t need to try out the new Apple headset before it launches, you can pre-order the Vision Pro from the official Apple Store page starting at 5am PT / 8am ET on January 19, 2024. If you’re on the fence about the new headset, you can read our guide on whether you should pre-order the Apple Vision Pro.
Also remember that only Apple itself sells the Vision Pro. Scammers may try to take advantage of the hype – and rumored lack of availability – to sell fake versions of the headset. If you’re not shopping on Apple’s website or in one of its physical stores, you’re almost certainly not looking to buy a legitimate Vision Pro headset.
