Guide to Palworld Rayne Syndicate Tower boss (Zoe and Grizzbolt).

While going through the Palworld tutorial, you are told to defeat the boss (Zoe and Grizzbolt) at the Rayne Syndicate Towerbut the game doesn’t offer much direction other than telling you to prepare for battles.

As you might expect, these towers are the closest Palworld has to do with Pokémon gyms, although they are very different. Inside there is a timed boss battle against a friend and his trainer.

Defeating the duo will reward you with an achievement and five Ancient Technology Points, which you can use to learn recipes from the very useful purple column. You also get access to the top of the tower, which serves as a nice high spot to slide from.

Below we explain how you can remove it Zoe and Grizzbolt in Palworld. Please note that we have done all of this solo on normalso it may differ depending on whether you use it in multiplayer or on another difficulty setting.

How to prepare for Rayne Syndicate’s Tower in Palworld

Grizzbolt has just over 30,000 HP and you only have 10 minutes to take him down, meaning you’ll need quite a bit of power before you take him on. When we entered the tower, so were we level 12 and all five of our friends were also level 12.

Grizzbolt is particularly weak against ground type movements, so take any friends that use Ground-type moves and level them up specifically for this fight. We were able to use Ground Skill Fruits we found on the floor to teach two of our friends additional ground moves, which helped immensely.

If you have friends like Lifmunk or Foxsparks who have active damaging abilities (be it the Lifmunk Pistol or Foxparks’ Flamethrower), consider bringing them along too, even if they don’t match the type advantage.

Our MVP (most valued friend) was Dinossom, who was able to easily fend off Grizzbolt’s attacks while dealing a good chunk of damage.

That said, we have also used a bow and about 90 arrows to help our friends wreak havoc from afar. We were also equipped with it Pelt armor and a Feather headband to help reduce our received harm.

With all this we were able to beat Zoe and Grizzbolt with about three minutes left on the timer.

Once you’re done, you can find the tower north of the original spawn area. There is a fast travel statue right next to the tower.

How to beat Zoe and Grizzbolt in Palworld

If you’ve been prepared by following the suggestions above and you’re still struggling, we’ve got quite a few tips on how to survive:

  • Alternate with your friends if they have low HP. You don’t want them to get taken out in battle. When they feel good again, they will slowly recover HP.
  • Make sure you use all active damaging skills (such as Lifmunks’ or Foxsparks’, as mentioned above). These help the boss take down a ton, and Foxsparks’ fire damage over time is especially fun.
  • Keep firing arrows to assist with damage. Headshots from the front cause additional damage.
  • When Grizzbolt points his scope at your friend, pull him back and wait until he fires the beam at nothing before sending your friend back outside.
  • When Grizzbolt targets you with his range, hide behind the pillars in the arena.
  • Keep dodging Grizzbolt’s attacks.
  • Refocus your friends regularly by calling them back and sending them back. Sometimes Grizzbolt or your friends get stuck behind pillars, so they fire projectile attacks that are blocked. This is a huge waste of time, so don’t be shy about calling your friend back and reorienting him so he has clear shots of Grizzbolt. This was perhaps the most important thing we had to do, as we often lost time instead of getting hit by Grizzbolt’s attacks.

After all that, you should be able to take out Zoe and Grizzbolt without too much trouble. If you’re still struggling, you might want to go out and catch more friends to level up a bit more and make the fight easier.
