The Traitors fans hail Ross as an ‘icon’ as he ‘reveals’ Diane is his mother before WINKING at the camera in secret message after her elimination
The Traitors fans called Ross an “icon” as he cheekily winked at the camera after “revealing” that Diane is his mother in Thursday’s episode.
Ross and Diane memorably completely wowed viewers by revealing they were actually related in a huge bombshell just episodes into series two.
The mother and son successfully hid their connection from their fellow contestants, with Zack briefly suspecting that Paul was Diane’s son, leaving them both in trouble.
But Ross was left devastated when fan favorite Diane was ‘killed’ in a huge twist after drinking from the poisoned chalice, and had an epic exit that saw her locked in a coffin during her own ‘funeral’.
Despite her elimination, Ross promised to keep their family connection a secret on the show, but he couldn’t resist dropping a heavy-handed hint on Thursday’s episode.

After the mission, Ross joked with his fellow participants Charlotte, Jasmine and Paul that Diane would urge them to find the Traitors at the Round Table.
Ross did an impression of her Northern Irish accent and said: ‘Diane will now look down on us and say ‘go get the traitors, boys, now go get the traitors’.’
Jasmine then said, “I love her, she looked like my mom,” prompting Paul to reference Zack’s theory that they were related as he joked, “She was my mom.”
Ross took the opportunity to sneakily reveal the truth, saying, “She was my mother first! No, stop it!’ while his co-stars were completely unaware that he wasn’t joking.
He then hilariously gave a cheeky wink to the camera as he broke the fourth wall while informing viewers of his funny joke, leaving fans in complete stitches.
Viewers were quick to hail X – formerly known as Twitter – as an ‘icon’ – just like his mother Diane – as they were left hysterical at his sly wink.
They wrote: ‘I still think about the Ross moment in the car, what an icon;’ “Ross, you deliver dog (sic);” “Ross winking at the camera got me in;”
“Give Ross and Diane all the TV shows, the camp icons of our time;” Ross winking at the camera just proves that being an icon is hereditary.”

Diane was ‘killed’ after drinking from the poisoned chalice handed to her by traitor Miles, but the action ultimately led to his downfall when he was banished.
After both of their exits, Diane left Miles completely floored when she revealed Ross was her son on the spin-off show Uncloaked.
After Miles revealed his true identity as a traitor, Faithful Diane revealed that she had been keeping a secret of her own.
She said: ‘One of the nicest things you said to me was, ‘Your children would be proud of you.’ Do you know that one of them is particularly proud of me? Do you know who? Rose.’
Miles said, “No way. I can say: you can see it.’
Diane replied, “I was so proud of Ross. I’m very naughty. Ross is my boy.”
The retired teacher, 63, insisted they had promised to keep their family connection a secret no matter what, and said Zack, who suspected Paul as her son, was their perfect cover story.
She said: ‘I didn’t feel like this would be a secret that would hurt anyone in any way shape or form. It even caused me a lot of stress because we got our first story wrong within two seconds on the train.
‘I ran around making sure the same stories were heard and then worried about him when he didn’t come to breakfast.
‘In the beginning we stayed away from each other a bit because I was so worried.
“As soon as Zack brought up the wonderful fact that Paul was my son, I relaxed. We certainly never revealed it all.”

Ross delivered a eulogy at her graveside after host Claudia asked the players if they had any last words for Diane.
Diane said, “We do have actors in the family, so we’ve seen my eldest son blown up on a ship, my daughter lying in a coffin on stage, my son-in-law mowed down by a van, have you? do you know what I mean?
‘I would hate for people to think, ‘Oh God, that son had to watch his mother’… because there would be. If you start doing it with every mother and son, it’s one of the best combinations.’
Diane’s eldest son Kerr Logan is an actor in Game Of Thrones as Matthos Seaworth, son of Ser Davos.
