Now that the online monitoring system is going live, PC imports are increasing in November

After the government’s online monitoring system for electronic hardware imports went live on November 1, inbound shipments of laptops and tablets fell to a nine-month low of $225 million in November, down 17.15 percent year-on-year -year.

This decline was mainly driven by reduced imports from Singapore (down 43.7 percent), Hong Kong (down 27.4 percent) and China (down 14 percent), according to data released by the Commerce Department. China is responsible for approximately 83 percent of these imports.
