Lenny Rush has revealed that he hopes to take on a different kind of acting role in the future, turning his hand to iconic characters such as Batman’s Joker and Austin Powers’ Dr Evil.

The 13-year-old actor rose to fame after starring in the 2019 rendition of A Christmas Carol, more recently appearing onscreen in Daisy May Cooper’s comedy drama Am I Being Unreasonable?

And in addition to some new types of roles, he also hopes to improvise a bit more on screen, admitting that he “made up” many of his scenes while filming the recent drama.

To talk with SubwayLenny explained: “I really like the character the Joker, I really like people like him, I’ve always been kind of like Dr. Want to play evil type crime boss. A rough villain.’

Stars like Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix have taken on the supervillain role of Joker, who appears in DC Comic movies.

While Dr. Evil is the main antagonist within the Austin Powers franchise, played by actor Mike Myers.

And it’s not just more controversial characters that Lenny sees ahead, the star also hopes to improvise more on screen.

Admitting that he “made up” many of his scenes on the new show Am I Being Unreasonable?, Lenny said the more relaxed acting “felt more natural.”

“I’ve never done it before, but honestly, now that I’ve done this show, I prefer it more than following a script. It’s just so much more relaxed and I think it looks more natural,” he said.

Lenny suffers from the rare genetic condition Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia congenita, which affects his growth and results in dwarfism – and recently opened to praise the BBC’s portrayal of disabilities.

Am I unreasonable? follows protagonist Nic (Daisy) as she struggles in a small town, dead-end marriage and son Ollie (Lenny).

And while explaining that while his disability is apparent on the show, the actor praised how important it is that the condition “doesn’t take over the whole plot.”

He previously explained to Metro: “I have my segway and it has a handicap badge on the front but nothing was ever said about it. And I like that because it doesn’t have to be said.

“Obviously some shows revolve around a child with a disability and that makes sense when it comes to the disability. But I love [that the team of Am I Being Unreasonable?] didn’t make a big conspiracy out of it. I liked that.’

He added: “My agent asked, ‘Is there any reason Lenny Rush couldn’t be considered for this role?’ And they said, ‘No, there isn’t.’

What is Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Congenita (SEDc)?

Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita is an inherited bone growth disorder that results in short stature (dwarfism), skeletal abnormalities, and problems with vision and hearing.

This condition affects the bones of the spine and the ends of long bones in the arms and legs. Congenita indicates that the condition is present from birth.

People with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita are short in stature from birth, with a very short trunk and neck and shortened limbs.

However, their hands and feet are usually of average size. Mature length ranges from 3 feet to just over 4 feet.

Abnormal curvature of the spine becomes more severe during childhood.
