She told People: “Honestly, being a mother is an experience I’ve dreamed of my whole life. And what was incredible to experience is that Lou far exceeded any expectations, ideas or dreams I had.

Children are amazing and really getting to witness and be with these magical little creatures as they explore the world is incredible.”

She also revealed that the little one’s name is a tribute to her Die Hard star dad Bruce – who suffers from frontotemporal dementia – as she was named after his two favorite singers.

During an Instagram Q+A, she said: ‘I’ve always loved the name Lou, so I thought about it for both a boy and a girl, but when we found out she was a girl we settled on Louetta.

“We wanted to give her options and mine and my dad’s favorite singers are Lou = Louie Armstrong, Etta = Etta James, Isley = Isley Brothers.”
