Echuca crash: One person dead and child fighting for life after car smashed into a tree and burst into flames

Three passengers have been seriously injured and one killed after a car crashed into a tree near Echuca before bursting into flames.
Police believe a vehicle traveling along the Murray Valley Highway near Echuca left the road and crashed into a tree near Mt Terrick Road just after 12.30pm on Sunday.
There were three people in the car, which caught fire shortly after the crash.
One passenger died on the spot.

A child was flown to hospital in critical condition.
The driver was flown to hospital with serious injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be established at this stage and detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit will be investigating.
