EMILY PRESCOTT: Pressure’s off for Lorraine Kelly after she didn’t make boss’s ‘trousers twitch’

TV host Lorraine Kelly told me she wasn’t offended when a male boss said to her, “You don’t make my pants pull.”

Explaining her response to the comment, Lorraine, 62, right, told me at a Women In Journalism event, “I was relieved. I wasn’t hired for that.’

The blunt comment reassured her that her career didn’t depend on what she looked like. ‘The pressure was off. It meant I didn’t have to worry about later procedures to keep looking young.’

Fawlty Towers’ granddaughter Andrew Sachs, Georgina Baillie, tells me that Jonathan Ross has still not personally apologized for his role in the ‘Sachsgate’ scandal.

Ross, 61, and Russell Brand, 47, were suspended by the BBC in 2008 after leaving lewd messages about Georgina on Andrew’s voicemail during Brand’s Radio 2 show.

They joked with Andrew and left comments about Russell’s brief relationship with Georgina. Brand later paid for her to go to therapy.

Artist Georgina reflected on the pain when she took part in the BBC’s new TV series Days That Shook.

She doesn’t think it will get Ross to apologize. “He’s never been okay with saying a word to me,” she adds. “That says a lot about him.”

Congratulations to hedge fund millionaire Crispin Odey and partner Diana Vitkova who, may I reveal, is expecting.
