Miller worked as a customer service representative at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan.

The incident is now under investigation by the Fort Lee Police Department.

As part of that investigation, detectives will try to determine whether Miller’s death was the result of a crime or just a tragic accident.

‘Yesterday I received an unexpected phone call in the early morning. It was from the Port Authority Chief Security Officer who informed me of the death of a Port Authority employee,” Kevin J. O’Toole, chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, wrote in the newspaper New Jersey Sphere on Thursday. “When I heard the name of the man who died, Jordan Miller, it stopped me in my tracks. I knew him. I had met Jordan over twelve years ago and he had left a lasting impression.”

O’Toole said Miller started working for the Port Authority in 2011.

He added that Miller was “well-liked by his colleagues, who described him as a ‘man of routine,'” and said he “will be missed by his colleagues.”

Patric, born John Anthony Miller III, is a well-known Hollywood actor known for his roles in The Lost Boys, Rush, Sleepers, Geronimo: An American Legend, Your Friends & Neighbors, Narc, The Losers and The Alamo.

He also famously played the male lead in Speed 2: Cruise Control alongside Sandra Bullock.

Patric’s father was actor and playwright Jason Miller – best known for his starring role in The Exorcist as the younger priest – and his maternal grandfather was legendary actor and comedian Jackie Gleason.

A Port Authority representative confirmed to TMZ that Patric was friends with some employees at his brother’s agency.
