Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene files criminal misconduct complaint against Fulton County DA Fani Willis and her alleged secret lover prosecutor who are overseeing the election-interference case against the former president
Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene has filed a criminal mischief complaint against Fani Willis and her alleged secret lover co-accuser, who are overseeing the Georgia case against former President Donald Trump.
It comes after Willis was accused in a stunning lawsuit by one of Trump’s co-defendants of having an affair with Nathan Wade, who was paid more than $600,000 as a special prosecutor assisting her office.
Greene, a Republican congressman from Georgia and passionate Trump supporter, wants an investigation into Willis — the Fulton County district attorney — and Wade.
The former president pointed out the allegations on Tuesday, saying it meant the Georgia prosecutor was “completely compromised” and that the racketeering case against Trump and 18 co-defendants “must be dismissed.”
Greene calls the accusations a sign of an “illegal conflict of interest” in the case against Trump.

Willis and Wade have yet to comment publicly or respond to the complaint in court documents.
The Georgia representative points to invoices that Wade submitted to Willis’ office for multiple trips to Washington and a November 2021 invoice that was submitted “for 24 hours in one day.”
The pair are accused of traveling together to Napa Valley and the Caribbean islands.
“If proven true, these actions would reflect Fani Willis’ grave lawlessness, including possible violation of public oath,” Greene wrote.
She added that the claims against the couple demonstrate an “unlawful partisan pattern… to illegally politicize and weaponize her public office.”
Trump blasted revelations about an alleged “romantic” relationship between Fani Willis and Wade, a private attorney who works on her team.
“She was crazy,” Trump fumed about Willis, who has been one of his regular targets during her grand jury investigation and since his arrest last summer. ‘It now appears that the case has been completely compromised. In fact, they say she has far more criminal liability than any of the people she looks at,” he claimed.
“So I think if you look at what happened, they pay a lawyer with no experience $700,000, who is your lover or friend, and then they go on trips together and on vacations, very expensive vacations together. And the reason they paid him that much was because he was after me,” he continued.

He said legal analysts he spoke to told him the case should be dismissed, though it was not clear whether he meant the case against former Trump campaign official Michael Roman, who raised it in the bombshell indictment, or against Trump and others accused employees. of conspiring to overturn the election results in the state.
‘Very good people were very badly affected by that case. It is a shame. Very good people. People who have done nothing wrong. They didn’t do anything different than what the Democrats have been doing for years and years and years, whether it’s slates or whatever else you’re talking about. But they were very injured. And it turns out that in that case she profited enormously, it is illegal. What she did is illegal. So let’s leave that to the state, but what a sad situation,” he said.
The charges are included in a filing by Michael Roman, a former Trump campaign official who is accused of taking part in the “fake voter” scheme as one of 18 people charged along with Trump in the state.
Trump’s comments came as invoices revealed that Roman had two previous meetings with the office of Biden’s White House attorney.
He has made similar attacks against other prosecutors lined up against him in his four criminal and civil cases, calling special prosecutor Jack Smith, who was at the appeals court on Tuesday, “deranged” and New York AG Letitia James called a ‘madman’. .’
Trump was also making the accusations in a fundraising pitch to his supporters.
‘The Atlanta Prosecutor Behind My MUGSHOT Is Now Exposed ‘inappropriateness’ in the case,” the appeal said.
The filing provides no documentary evidence of the allegations. It says that “sources close to both the special counsel and the district attorney confirmed that they had an ongoing, personal relationship.”

The motion explains the seriousness of the allegations. “The Instant Motion was not filed lightly. Nor is it filed without much precaution, investigation or investigation,” the filing said.
“Nevertheless, this motion must be heard because the issues raised herein go to the heart of the fairness of our justice system and, if left unaddressed and unchecked, threaten to taint the entire prosecution process, invite mistakes and undermine public confidence in the final situation completely undermine it. outcome of these proceedings.’
It states that the couple “had a personal, romantic relationship that ultimately generated significant revenue for the Special Prosecutor.”
The filing refers to a sealed divorce petition for the married special prosecutor, but then proceeds to file the claim based on other information.
It states that “information obtained outside the litigation indicates that the District Attorney and the Special Prosecutor have personally traveled together to places such as Napa Valley, Florida and the Caribbean and that the Special Prosecutor has purchased tickets for both of them to meet with both the Norwegian and Royal Carbibean cruise lines. Traveling together to places like Washington, DC or New York City may make sense for work purposes in light of other pending lawsuits, but what work purpose can be served solely by traveling to these traditional vacation destinations?”
An attorney representing Michael Roman made the allegations in a filing and asked for the charges to be dismissed
DailyMail.com has contacted Willis and Wade’s office for comment.
A spokesperson for Willis told the newspaper Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the district attorney’s office would respond “through appropriate court filings.”
“The prosecutor has chosen to name her romantic partner, who has been a married man at all times relevant to this prosecution,” the filing said.
It says the prosecutor and Wade “have been seen together privately in and around the Atlanta area” and that “it is suspected that they may have been living together in some capacity.”
It further states that there is “no evidence” that Willis was “authorized” by the county to use money to detain Wade for the case.
Roman was charged this summer with alleged crimes including participating in a racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit forgery and conspiracy to file false documents, all in connection with a scheme to recruit fake Republican electors who would cast votes for Trump instead of electors to submit to the elections. reflect Joe Biden’s certified victory in the state.
