It’s the network of choice for thousands of Brits, but it appears Vodafone is experiencing an outage this morning.

According to Down Detector, the problems started around 06:20 GMT and are affecting users across the UK.

Vodafone has not yet acknowledged the problems, despite more than 3,000 problems being registered online.

Of those who reported problems, 56 percent said they had problems with mobile internet, while 36 percent said the problem was with their mobile phone.

The remaining five percent reported a problem with the fixed internet.

Down Detector receives network status updates from various sources, including social media and reports submitted to the website.

The ‘heatmap’ of user-submitted problem reports on the website showed that affected customers were mainly in London, Birmingham and Manchester, although there were reports across the country.

Several frustrated users have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss the outage.

‘Is Vodafone down for anyone? I’m not receiving any texts or calls,” one user wrote.

Another wrote: ‘Vodafone in London is offline?????!!! I can’t connect, I have to use WiFi. Anyone else having this problem??’

And someone said, ‘I mean, it would be nice if Vodafone could actually provide an update on what’s going on for their customers.’
