Radu Dragusin has ‘decided he wants to join Tottenham’ after it was reported yesterday that Ange Postecoglou’s side were close to an agreement to sign the Genoa defender.
It comes after it emerged that Bayern Munich had hijacked Tottenham’s deal to sign the 21-year-old.
According to Sky Germany, the defender has indicated that he would prefer to move to the Premier League club and ‘fly to London on Wednesday’ to complete the deal.
On Tuesday, Mails Sport reported that Ange Postecoglou’s side were close to agreeing a deal worth up to £25 million for the Genoa centre-back after he submitted a formal offer.
Out-of-favour defender Djed Spence, who returned from a loan spell at Leeds last week, was also offered to the Italian club as a sweetener in the proposed deal.

Bayern’s bid for the centre-back was believed to be an outright cash offer and doubts had been raised over whether he would sign for Spurs.

Dragusin has emerged as one of Spurs’ top targets in January and the club have now made an official bid for the centre-back.
It comes after Ben Davies suffered a hamstring injury during Tottenham’s win against Burnley on January 5, increasing the north London side’s need for a new centre-back.
Bayern Munich, meanwhile, had intervened with a late move for the Romanian and submitted a straight cash offer.
But Tottenham were increasingly confident of signing the 21-year-old.
Spence, who was abruptly recalled by Leeds last week despite having the full-back on loan until the end of the season, could now go in the opposite direction.
He joined Tottenham from Middlesbrough for £20 million in the summer of 2022, signing a five-year contract with the club.
Following his arrival, he would go on loan to Rennes before moving to Leeds last summer, where the defender made seven appearances in the Championship after a knee injury sidelined him for much of the season.

Mail Sport revealed on Friday that Spurs would immediately offer Spence for transfer following his return amid attitude problems.
And the former England Under-21 star is now set to leave Tottenham again.
The 20-year-old midfielder has risen through Spurs’ academy and is considered one of their brightest rising stars.
Craig made his senior debut at the end of the 2022/23 season, coming on as a late substitute in Tottenham’s 4-1 Premier League victory over Leeds.
