The Witcher season 3 will be released sooner than you think

Good news, Witcher fans! Netflix has revealed that season 3 of The Witcher will debut in mid-2023.
Announced by Henry Cavill, the protagonist of Netflix’s hit fantasy show on Tudum 2022, the next installment of The Witcher will hit our screens in the summer of 2023. For those who live in the southern hemisphere, it will be with you in the winter of 2023. That’s the way of the changing seasons and all.

The reveal of the release window comes just a few weeks after the third season of The Witcher has finished production. The next entry of the series had been shot in numerous locations over the past six months, but the main photography ended on September 12. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich confirmed this via her personal Instagram account (opens in new tab). Hissrich previously told TechRadar that there was work to be done to stage The Witcher’s third season in December 2021.
Of course, The Witcher season 3 release date has yet to be determined. A summer 2023 launch window means it could arrive any time between June and September next year. Given the sheer amount of post-production work that needs to be done, we’d be very surprised if it doesn’t get to us until the latter part of the summer, i.e. August or September 2023. That means it’s been nearly two years since The Witcher season 2 debuted, but it won’t overshadow the two-year wait we had between seasons 1 and 2, as the latter’s release was delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic. .
