Mesut Ozil EXPLAINS Chelsea for letting his ex-teammate leave the club

Mesut Ozil has criticized Chelsea for letting one of his former teammates leave the club.

The former Arsenal playmaker has scored 33 goals in 184 appearances for the Gunners and has a number of top trophies to his name, including the World Cup.

The 35-year-old took to social media and claimed it was a big mistake by the Blues to let his former international teammate Antonio Rudiger join Real Madrid.

The Spanish giant does currently at the top La Liga after they were defeated Mallorca 1-0 on Wednesday thanks to a goal from Rüdiger.

Madrid's manager Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for the Germany international after the match: 'He took advantage of the injuries of others. He performs at a very high level, with continuity.

In response to his comments about X, Ozil wrote: “Prime Toni Rudiger is simply the best defender in the world right now. Incredible season for my former club Real Madrid. You can also ask Haaland or Osimhen how good he is!

'Look what happened to Chelsea after he left… they miss his mentality every day…'

Although Rudiger left Chelsea on a free transfer when his contract expired, the 30-year-old claimed the club were slow to offer him a new contract.

In an article he writing for The Players' Tribune, he stated: “Unfortunately, my contract negotiations had already become difficult last fall.

One criticism of Pochettino's team was their lack of experience
