Former FBI Director Louis Freeh Named on Epstein List for Being 'Aware of Bill Clinton's Travels'
Among the infamous 'Epstein' list of leading US businessmen and politicians released last night is former FBI Director Louis Freeh.
Freeh, who headed the bureau from 1993 to June 2001, was listed because he “may have knowledge of Bill Clinton's travels,” according to a document filed in June 2016 by Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers.
She likely implicated him to support her claims that Clinton never visited Epstein's Caribbean island and traveled alone on his jet, accompanied by Secret Service agents and assistants.
Clinton, who has not been accused of having any involvement with underage girls, has always denied doing anything wrong.
Former FBI Director Louis Freeh was named in a 2016 court filing by Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers. He was admitted because he “may have had knowledge of Bill Clinton's travels,” her team said
The document was filed with the New York Southern District in June 2016. Freeh's name was made public last night, along with the first group of others.
Freeh served as FBI director throughout Clinton's presidency. He was replaced in 2001 by Bush appointee John Ashcroft.
In a statement to DailyMail.com today, he emphasized that he has no other involvement with Epstein or the case, aside from representing Alan Dershowitz against old and now dropped allegations that he abused Virginia Giuffre.
“In connection with the representation of Professor Alan Dershowitz by Mr. Freeh's former law firm, we have filed a records request with the United States Secret Service regarding former President Clinton's travels.
'Mr. Freeh and his former law firm had no other ties to this case or to the individuals involved,” a spokesperson said.
In 2019, he and Dershowitz also lobbied on behalf of Israeli billionaire Dan Gertler, who had previously faced US sanctions over his dealings in Africa.
While Clinton has yet to comment on his inclusion in the new pile of documents, his team has directed all questions to a 2019 statement in which he denied knowledge of Epstein's crimes.
Others on the list of names released last night by the Southern District of New York include Donald Trump – who has also previously been linked to Epstein.
Although mentioned, Trump is in no way involved in Epstein's crimes. The only mention of him is denying involvement.
Although long awaited, the document has not yet yielded many new accusations.
Freeh was named by Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers in a document filed in 2016. She insisted that Bill Clinton never visited Epstein's island, but only traveled to Europe on his plane.
Freeh did not handle the Epstein documents in 2012. He was replaced in 2001
There is a reference to an “orgy” on Epstein's island in which an unnamed woman, listed as Jane Doe #3, claims Prince Andrew took part.
The first batch, dumped yesterday, was 900 pages long. It included Bill Clinton, Stephen Hawking, Michael Jackson and others.
Most of the people named were peripherally involved in Epstein's crimes and had no knowledge of them, according to the newspapers.
The “list” does not suggest that those involved played any role in his crimes or sex trafficking, but serves as a more detailed map of Epstein's impressive social connections.
One bombshell in the dump yesterday, however, is the claim that Prince Andrew took part in an 'orgy' on Epstein's Caribbean island.
The accusation was made by Jane Doe #3, who says she was forced to have sex with Andrew in London, at Ghislaine Maxwell's house, in New York and in the Caribbean with other girls.

The unredacted statement from Johanna Sjoberg, who told lawyers that Epstein told her that Clinton 'likes them young'
Andrew has long denied the allegations.
To date, Maxwell is the only person facing charges besides Epstein who is behind bars in New York.
She still protests her innocence and claims she was the scapegoat for Epstein's crimes in a sexist legal system.
Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell in August 2019.
While medical examiners and the attorney general maintain he died by suicide, some close to him have long alleged he was murdered or assisted in his suicide.
Clinton is mentioned 50 times in the nearly 950 pages of evidence.
Another woman who alleged she was sexually abused by Epstein, Johanna Sjoberg, said in her statement that Epstein told her, “Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.”
It's unclear how Clinton and Epstein met, but Roberts wasn't the only one to claim the pair were close.
On Wednesday, hours before the court documents were unsealed, Jeffrey Epstein's brother Mark, a New York-based real estate developer, said his sibling claimed to have information about Donald Trump and Bill Clinton that was so explosive it would leave the 2016 presidential election derail.
Mark, 69, told us The New York Post: 'Here's a direct quote: 'If I told them what I know about both candidates, they would have to cancel the election.' Jeffrey told me that in 2016.'
Hillary Clinton was not known to spend time with Jeffrey Epstein, but her husband had been a friend since at least 1993.
Prince Andrew, whose ties to Epstein are known, is also mentioned, as is Michael Jackson. One Epstein victim claimed she met him at the pedophile's home in Palm Beach, Florida, but said nothing unusual happened
