Geordie Shore's James Tindale broke down in tears as he struggled with the death of his father in a clip shared by the MTV show on Wednesday.

The reality star, 33, opened up about his father's final moments when he said losing his father Alan unexpectedly at the age of 74 was the hardest thing he had ever experienced.

James, who appeared in the first season of the raucous show, explained that he would like to get back to normal and have fun, but his grief is difficult to deal with.

He said in the Geordie Shore teaser trailer: 'Losing my dad is definitely the hardest thing I've ever experienced. I spoke to him the day before.

'Then the next day, out of the blue, I get a phone call: 'You need to go to the hospital as quickly as possible.'

James, who appeared in the first season of the raucous show, explained that he would like to get back to normal and have fun, but his grief is difficult to deal with.

James cried as he explained that his father was on life support and the family held a group bedside vigil.

He added: “So I sat there with him, with the rest of my family, and I sat with him for two days, just holding his hand. Hoping he would come around.'

“And it got to a point where they just said, 'There's nothing more we can do,' so you have to make a decision and turn the machine off.' So I did that.”

The clip showed James playing pool with co-star and close friend Jay Gardner.

He told Jay, “I just want to have fun again and get back to normal, he wouldn't want us to sit around and be upset and all that.”

James was left devastated after his father died unexpectedly in October 2022 at the age of 74.

He took to Instagram to share the sad news of his father Alan's sudden death, saying in the heartbreaking post that he felt like he was in a “bad dream and wanted to wake up.”

James described his father as his 'best friend', sharing a photo of them in happier times and holding his hand in hospital.

He wrote: 'Over the weekend my world literally turned upside down, on Sunday I had to say goodbye to my dad unexpectedly and I honestly feel like it's all just a bad dream and I'm ready to wake up.'

“My father and I were so close that he was the person I always went to when I needed the best advice, and he always made me and everyone in the room laugh with his jokes and sense of humor.”

James continued, “I'm devastated and feel like I've been robbed of time, but I'm also so grateful for the years I had you not only as my dad, but as a best friend.

“I wouldn't be who I am today without you daddy and I promise to make you even prouder than I know you already were, I love you so much daddy xxx.”

James added: “I spoke to my dad on the phone every day and I would give anything to get him back, even for one more phone call.

'You literally never know what's around the corner, so make sure you cherish every moment with your loved ones x.'
