Charlamagne Tha God will NOT endorse Biden again in 2024 as influential radio host slams Kamala Harris for ‘disappearing’ once she got to the White House and president’s support among black voters collapses

Charlamagne Tha God says he has learned his lesson from 2020 and will not support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris this time.

The “Breakfast Club” radio personality, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, has been a thorn in the side of the Biden administration by asking a series of pointed questions, admitting that listeners had given him grief for telling them who he had to support in 2020.

Charlamagne even appeared on the campaign trail with Harris in 2019, when she unveiled her mental health plan — something of a personal issue for a radio host who has spoken about his own struggles.

Now he says he feels burned by the whole experience.

“I learned my lesson doing that,” he said. “Once they got to the White House, she… kind of disappeared.”

Charlamagne Tha God said he will not support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2024. He has been a frequent critic of their government since supporting them in 2020.

Vice President Kamala Harris

Last time, Charlamagne said, “I'm voting for Kamala Harris, I'll tell you that in a moment. I'm not necessarily voting for Joe Biden, I'm voting for Senator Kamala Harris'

He made his comments in an interview with Politics. They won't come as a surprise after he spent the past three years asking deep questions of the Biden administration and recently calling on the president to step aside to make room for someone better able to defeat Donald Trump.

But they will be cause for concern in the Biden camp at a time when his campaign has seen support slip among Black voters.

The president had 87 percent of the black vote in 2020, but the latest Daily Mail/JL Partners poll showed he now has 64 percent. That still gives him a 42-point lead over Trump but will raise concerns about whether the 2020 coalition that propelled Biden to victory will break down.

Charlamagne said he knew he was in control of his listeners, who number more than four million a month.

“When I give people my word, like, 'Yo man, I think we should back Kamala Harris for vice president… because she's going to stop it.' “When we say those things and people don't see her holding it down, it causes problems,” he said.

In 2020, he explained that his support was all about Harris and upending the long tradition of white men running Washington.

“I'm voting for Kamala Harris, I can tell you that. “I'm not necessarily voting for Joe Biden, I'm voting for Senator Kamala Harris,” he said at the time.

But within a year, he was asking tough questions, leading to an awkward confrontation with Harris on his now-canceled Comedy Central show “Tha God's Honest Truth.”

Amid negotiations with hardline Democratic senators over what would become the Inflation Reduction Act, he asked her, “Who is the real president of this country, is it Joe Manchin or Joe Biden, Madam Vice President?”

Charlamagne caused a viral moment when he asked Harris in 2021 who the real president of the country was.

“Come on Charlamagne,” she said, showing her irritation. “It's Joe Biden. And don't start talking like a Republican about whether or not he's president.”

Biden had his own awkward moment when he was interviewed via video link from his basement during the pandemic, when he had largely secured the Democratic nomination.

The questions focused on the idea that Black voters often felt like they were being taken for granted by Biden's party.

As the conversation came to an end, Biden said he had to interrupt the conversation because his wife needed the room.

“You can't do that to the black media,” Charlemagne said. “Because it's still a long way until November, we have more questions.”

Biden hit back in a moment that quickly went viral: “You have more questions, but I'm telling you… if you have a problem, whether you're with me or Trump, you're not black.”

Charlamagne has since pushed the idea that Biden lacks Trump's political instincts and has poorly communicated his successes, instead relying on his opponent's character to do the work for them.

“It's almost like the Democrats are doing this purity test. America is not pure. The people of America are not pure. We are wrong,” he said.

'I don't expect my politicians to be pure, … I expect my politicians to be effective.'

That leaves voters little choice, he added.

“In 2024 it's a race between the cowards, the crooks and the bank,” he said, suggesting many people may simply stay home instead of voting.
